Interactive IIT ( Fully Residential)
Entering into any institution of IIT in India is a coveted dream of most of the students pursing science at Higher Secondary level be it CBSE/CHSE. Every parent in other word wishes to see their ward in this institute which stands 15 in numbers now. In the professional and career world IIT has a distinct place. The entrance examination for IIT is always an uphill task. The magnitude of practice required to muster the course requires rigorous practice of the questions under the guidance of proficient teachers. In order to develop such an application ability a learner has to pass through certain stages i.e., absorption of concepts their internalization, assimilation and finally their visualization.
Keeping in mind the present trend and need and considering the toughness of the entrance examination PTPL has devised means and methods to orient the learner who is seriously aspiring to get a berth in IIT. Getting selected is no doubt a difficult one due to multiple factors. A student is not adequately oriented, trained and persuaded through the school/ college syllabus to develop his/her ability for application of the text in an unknown situation.
With our profound experience in guiding students for this tough test (IIT-JEE), we have gathered that the class room teaching which is limited to 3 to 4 hours is not enough. Developing a creative intelligence to solve problems requires sharpness of mind. To get through this test f IIT-JEE) one has to be thorough over the text, should have the conceptual clarity of the text and should be guided in such a manner that he is able to unleash his potentialities at the time of need. The student should develop his own critical thought process under the guidance of teachers. To ensure maximum success rate PTPL for the first time in Orissa has designed a course which is purely residential to be monitored under the direct supervision of Ex-IIT'ans round the clock. The course has been designed to help the students to get through IIT-JEE and the classes will be held in two sessions. As the student will be under a particular teacher guide the personal care of the student is guaranteed. Every development of the students will be noted down and practice will be given top priority.
In the Interactive IIT we have introduced three tire formulae such as : concept, application and practice. The morning session is devoted to serious coaching of topics of different subjects. The afternoon session is devoted to developing the ability of the student for application of the subject over the concept learnt in the morning session through different experiments and assignment solving {basic and advance).
The test patterns in PTPL includes tests in every class in every session, weekly assessment test based on a particular topic is held at the end of every week, monthly assessment test designed on cumulative syllabus, specially designed test series, target test series for IIT-JEE, Target Test Series for AIEEE, Mock Test series for other state and national level entrance examinations. The appraisal and analysis classes that follow the tests help the student to get over in translating his week points and it develops instantaneous problem solving ability.
The sessions are very interesting because a student gets the guidance of the same faculty on one to one basis which helps for the total eradication of his/her doubts and confusions that got accumulated in the course of the day.
The entire course is monitored through three cycles.
CYCLE- I : deals Conceptual teaching, Practice of basic level assignments/Study Materials. Conduct of various test.
CYCLE- II: deals Advance level study for sharpening of mental ability and analytically skill with various test and rigorous practice.
CYCLE- III deals with revisions of the entire course and holding of all sort of tests and increased number of doubt clearing sessions.
